Agile Access Control, Inc. Wins University of Wyoming Bid!
Agile's FleetCommander software to manage 500 fleet vehicles
Campbell, CA - April 30, 2007- The University of Wyoming announced it had selected Agile Access Control, Inc. to provide fleet management software and services to manage its fleet of nearly 500 vehicles. The award was made after a competitive procurement process that lasted more than three months.
Carolyn Smith of the university's Division of Auxiliary Services department stated, "FleetCommander provides innovative solutions that tie to the university's needs and goals. The web based product is user-friendly... During the next year, UW Fleet Services hopes to increase customer satisfaction by permitting customers to make on-line reservations in an efficient, accurate manner, improve asset management through the use of FleetCommander's reports, and streamline current billing processes."
"I couldn't be happier with the University of Wyoming's choice," said Matthew Wade, Vice President of Agile Access Control, Inc. "What strikes me most about this opportunity is that the university's needs align perfectly with our product. FleetCommander is 100% web-based. It will streamline the maintenance and motor pool operations for the university and will optimize the use of their vehicles and their staff. They will realize positive results almost immediately."
In a demonstration of their responsiveness and flexibility, Agile launched a fully-functional version of the FleetCommander web application for University of Wyoming on the same day that the award was officially announced. Unlike applications that are not web-based, FleetCommander is accessed on the end-users computers via a web browser - no special software is required on each person's computer. Agile is hosting the application in their secure, hosting environment. Users access FleetCommander via the Internet. Agile provides web hosting, servers, all software maintenance, daily backups, and even emergency power.
University of Wyoming is yet another win for Agile. "Last year the FleetCommander user community grew by more than 300%. This year is looking great too. It appears that our choice to be totally web-based and develop tools that are easy-to-use and save fleet managers money is paying off," says Ed Smith, Agile's President & CEO.
