What's new in FleetCommander?

FleetCommander version 4.6 is now available!

This release represents Agile's largest release to date in terms of new functionality and enhancements to existing functionality. Change and enhancements are free of charge to existing FleetCommander customers.

More than twenty (20) new major features and enhancements and more than four hundred (400) total changes are included. These enhancements were specifically added to expand FleetCommander's already rich feature set and allow the administrator more flexibility and configuration options, while still maintaining the system's ease of use. A glimpse at some of the changes includes:

  • User-Side Vehicle Availability & Fleet Calendar: Allows authorized users to see vehicle schedules and select their own vehicle.
  • Reservation Alerts: Allows reservations to be "tagged" with alerts for other fleet staff to view and act upon.
  • Reservation Custom Fields: Allows greater flexibility in defining, validating, and collecting information on the reservation form using the custom field features. The custom fields that appear on the reservation form can change depending on the site and the usage type.
  • Overlapping Reservations: Allows the ability to have multiple reservations on a vehicle at the same time. For example, a vehicle may be loaned out to a department on a long term lease. This department, in turn, uses the vehicle for daily motor pool reservations. The long term reservation and the motor pool reservations can be tracked and billed appropriately.
  • Inspection and Prep enhancements: Vehicles can be manually placed in inspection and prep queues; inspection and prep plans can be configured independent of usage types; and vehicles leaving the earliest can appear at the top of the inspection and prep queues in order to service them first.
  • Greater Configurability at the Site Level: Lets you customize most emails and other settings at the site level to facilitate site-specific nuances.
  • Maintenance Dashboard: Provides your maintenance status at-a-glance using intuitive lists and graphs.
  • Schedule Maintenance Tasks: Allows tasks to be scheduled to occur on a certain date and allows a series of recurring scheduled tasks to be created.
  • "Snooze" Maintenance Tasks: Allows tasks to be delayed by a certain number of miles or days.
  • Supervisor email changes: More granularity provided to manage which confirmation emails go to the supervisor.
  • Automatically updating vehicle odometers: Odometers can be updated automatically after importing a fuel file.
  • Vehicle Availability Report: This report displays those vehicles that are available for a defined timeframe.
