Agile Fleet, Inc. Announces Don Dymont as New Chief Executive Officer
After 25 years of leading Agile Fleet, Founder and CEO Ed Smith has retired, marking a thoughtfully planned leadership change. Don Dymont has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Ed will continue to support the company as an advisor.
Ed founded Agile Fleet in 2000 with a simple goal: help organizations operate more efficient, accountable fleets using practical, easy-to-use technology. Under his leadership, Agile Fleet has grown into a trusted partner for government agencies, universities, utilities, and other fleet-driven organizations across North America.
“Building Agile Fleet has been the work of a lifetime,” said Smith. “I’m incredibly proud of the team and the impact we’ve had in the fleet community. This transition has been carefully planned, and I have full confidence in Don and the leadership team to continue serving our customers with the same focus and integrity. I look forward to continuing to support the business as an advisor.”
Don brings more than 25 years of experience leading technology and SaaS-adjacent businesses, with a strong background in public-sector, regulated, and mission-critical environments.
“My priority is continuity, with an eye toward the future,” said Dymont. “Agile Fleet has a strong foundation, a committed team, and trusted customer relationships. We’re excited about the innovations already underway—focused on improving efficiency and accountability for fleets—while continuing to operate with discipline and reliability.”
Agile Fleet’s products, leadership team, and customer commitments remain unchanged. We’re grateful to Ed for his leadership and look forward to continuing to serve the fleet community.
