Agile Fleet Endorses NAFA CAFM® and CAFS® Recertification Program
Certified Fleet Managers, Specialists may now earn credits for recertification via Agile opportunities
CHANTILLY, VA, January 7, 2016 -- Agile Access Control, Inc., (Agile) creator of FleetCommander fleet and motor pool technologies, announces its formal endorsement of the NAFA Fleet Management Association's Certified Automotive Fleet Manager or Fleet Specialist (CAFM® or CAFS) certification. The endorsement officially opens opportunities for fleet managers who have earned the CAFM or CAFS accreditations to earn credit toward their recertification requirement through Agile’s new fleet industry content development program. The announcement was made today by Agile.
“We see the exceptional value of being a part of NAFA’s CAFM® program," says Ed Smith, President of Agile. "CAFM® certification is a ‘must’ for fleet managers, and a proven advantage for solutions providers. It helps us all speak a common language, share this wealth of knowledge, and help each other deliver our best work."
The endorsement means CAFMs and CAFSs are able to do things such as author a white paper, write a blog post, serve as an interview subject, speak alongside Agile subject matter experts during a trade show or webinar presentation, and a whole host of other options to earn points towards their recertification requirement.
“We think the CAFM designation is an excellent way for Fleet Managers to continue to grow professionally while staying on the cutting edge of the field of fleet management. We welcome all CAFMs and CAFSs to join us in creating useful content for other fleet industry professionals to access. CAFMs and CAFSs who are interested in earning points towards recertification, are encouraged to share with us their interest areas and we will match you with currently available opportunities,” says Smith.
“CAFM® certification is the industry standard for fleet education, and it is the only fleet education platform that truly proves one’s understanding of fleet’s eight disciplines,” said NAFA CEO Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "NAFA is pleased that Agile Access Control, Inc. has formally recognized the career-changing benefits of CAFM® education and certification."
The CAFM® designation identifies excellence in fleet knowledge, and is the only certification program that proves an individual’s expertise in fleet. To become certified, an applicant must pass a series of comprehensive examinations to demonstrate expertise in the eight disciplines of automotive fleet management: Fleet Information Management, Maintenance Management, Vehicle Fuel Management, Asset Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Risk Management, and Professional Development. Designed to identify and recognize exceptional fleet management professionals, many employers now require fleet managers to obtain the CAFM® designation prior to, or shortly after, employment.
